RTS game, you had 3 races to choose from humans, aliens of a sort, and robots I think? 

Additional Details

Basic you would build up your defenses and attack each other. You had to set up things for resources too. 3Dish and I remember playing it early 2000-03 but it could be older than that. Please help me find this.

Old PC game, early 90s. There were different levels, had to find keys to open door, on level had giant fly trap type plants that were asleep and if you touched them they woke up and chased you. There
