Old 3D Action-adventure game takining place on the Aztics

I am looking for an old 3D action-adventure game. The story takes place in ancient Aztic pyramids.
the game was published sometime during 90's .. Certainly before 2000
the game has many challenges and puzzles .. It is somehow similar to Tomb Rider ..
I think I remember the main character wears a Cow-boy hat ..
but I don't think the character appeared during the game-play I think it was a First Person game
I don't remember much more than that .. I remember there was one giant rat in one of the challenges which was terrifying!
