Please help me find this top down shooter. I think you controlled a jeep. The missiles were upgradable as you progressed.

I am trying to remember a game from the mid to late eighties. I remember that it was a top down shooter over various terrain. I think it starts with desert terrain. I also think it was a jeep that you controlled. What I remember the most is that as the weapons upgraded the explosions also upgreded. Initially the missile shots resulted in a single small explosion. Then they went to a straight horizontal line explosion then finally to an " x " shaped explosion. Been looking for a while and am about to give up! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It was in the late 90's I played this computer(?) game as a kid.

Old rpg....you had to make choices in game, one would result in death the other would advance in the story.

There was a game in the late 70s in a mine. I think it was a jaii break. any ideas
